Jack Hughes’ 40 years plus career has mostly focused on the Government Services industry. In addition to serving as an Operating Partner with AlpRidge, he is Principal and Founder of his own firm PHOENIX Financial and Advisory Services, LLC, which provides strategic consulting services to small and mid-sized government contractors.

Prior to founding PHOENIX, Jack was the Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Alion Science and Technology Corp, a large engineering and technology federal contractor, where he was instrumental in the founding of the company and its rapid growth from $200 million to $750 million in revenues within five years. His career includes positions as Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer at BTG, where he conducted their IPO in 1994 and directed the rapid growth of the company over a six-year period from $50 million to nearly $600 million in revenues. Prior to BTG, he held senior executive positions with ManTech International Corp in the operations, administration and financial areas supporting the growth of the company from $4 million to $200 million in annual revenues. During his career in government services contracting, Jack has been instrumental in closing over 45 M&A transactions and numerous financings in support of these transactions.

Jack has a BS degree in Economics and Business from Frostburg State University and has completed post-graduate studies in Finance, Mergers & Acquisitions, Contract Law and Negotiations and Government Procurement.
